A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
- born in Brooklyn, New York on March 13th, 1939
- at age four loved to listen to music on the radio
- studied piano (classical music)
- as a teen he played on a radio statio (classical music station)
- became interested in pop music and wrote songs by age 13
- formed the group "The Tokens"; hit song The Lion Sleeps Tonight
- has composed over a thousand songs (with friend Howie Greenfield)
- recorded pop hits from 1959 to 1963
- songs have been recorded by Fifth Dimension, Connie Francis,
Captain and Tennille and others
- performs in Las Vegas and does concert tours
