Who are the Bee Gees?
The Bee Gees are three brothers:
Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb ;
They are in the top five of the most successful recording artists
of all time.

A BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
- Barry was born (1946) in the Isle of Man (British Isles);
twins Maurice and Robin
were born three years later.
- Younger brother Andy who had a solo career died at age 30 (1988)
- The "Brothers Gibb" (BGs) first performed in 1955 in Manchester.
- The family moved to Australia in 1958.
- They made many appearances on radio and tv.
- The Bee Gees moved back to the UK and signed a recording contract.
- They had first #1 hit in 1967 (over 60 top hits singles)
- The brothers moved to the US in the mid 70s
- They wrote soundtracks for Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Stayin Alive
- Saturday Night Fever is the best selling movie soundtrack (with
three #1 hits)
- Over 900 artists have performed their songs (Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers
(Islands in the Stream), Barbra Streisand (Guilty), Diana Ross (Chain Reaction),
Dionne Warwick (Heartbreaker), Elvis, Janis Jooplin, Destiny's
Child, Celine Dion.)
- inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame
and have received numerous awards.
