It is a dance mixer for children and adults, performed in a long line. ---------------------------------------------------------------- BACKGROUND INFORMATION The dance was created in a San Francisco High School in 1953 Ray Anthony - creator of the bunny hop tune at http://www.spaceagepop.com/anthony.htm --------------------------------------------------------------- THE DANCE STEPS 1. Right foot out, touch heel to the floor. Right foot in, touch toe to floor 2. Right foot out, touch heel to the floor. Right foot in, touch toe to floor 3. Left foot out, touch heel to the floor, Left toe in, touch toe to the floor 4. Left foot out, touch heel to the floor, Left toe in, touch toe to the floor 5. Jump forward feet together 6. Jump backward, feet together 7-8-9 Hop! Hop! Hop! (forward) SIMPLIFIED VERSION - for young children 1. kick right foot out, then bring back 2. kick left foot out, then bring back 3. jump forward, feet together 4. jump backward, feet together then hop-hop-hop (say to yourself - Right-Left-up-back-hop-hop-hop) You can do this individually at first, with a partner, or in a long line (like a conga line) holding on to the shoulders or waist(hips) of the person in front of you. Then the line keeps going around the room, following a leader.
